Backup with Windows Vista Windows Vista ReadyBoost

The new operating system Windows Vista has many new features that make it particularly attractive. Already
presented other T & T, but this time I want to present a feature desired by many, but often overlooked because they are too busy or because it requires additional software is often proprietary and difficult to use. Windows Vista Business and Ultimate editions provides a backup and recovery similar to that of commercial products such as Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image to name but two.
This feature joins the system restore that instead consists of an operating system image at a given time and that is used to restore the functionality of the same de instantly restore point. The station is composed of a physical image backup hard disk or CD / DVD of an entire partition or disk is where the entire operating system as well as all the applications installed and operated. His backup ensures that you can recover in no time bringing the PC OS + applications in the same position it was in at the time of backup. This obviously implies that the sensitive and important data that have changed in the meantime, they must be saved in part by a similar feature.

Back up files and folders

To proceed with this feature you click on Start ->
Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Backup and Restore Center

then click on the button Backup Files and follow the wizard

At the time that is necessary and possible restore the saved files back in the Backup and Restore Center once again following the wizard

pick the appropriate backup will continue with a form that invites us to
select a File or Folder ... In this example I chose a folder

There are asked whether to restore the files to the original position or other new position

is then the recovery.

Backup Computer

In this case, as stated at the beginning, we proceed to image the entire disk or partition.
To proceed with this feature you click on Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Backup and Restore Center

then click on the button Backup Computer and follow the wizard

is presented the ability to save the backup to a hard drive or one or more DVDs

Choosing the backup unit continue

then start the backup process and the wizard ends. From
note that in case of a previous backup, the wizard warns that the
backup will save only the differences.

When it becomes necessary to restore the image, in which case all data on the target drive would be erased, there shall always be
Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Backup and Restore Center

But this time a mask tells us that the restoration should be done not in line with Vista
restarting the PC

Obtain the Vista installation CD is inserted in DVD player having set your machine's BIOS to boot from a CD / DVD and Hard Disk. At boot the PC starts retrieving the operating system from DVD .... After loading a set of files necessary to boot presents a visual environment with a simple wizard that monster with a series of images

clicking the Finish button .... alerts us to a form that will take a few minutes after which the PC is rebooted with the image restored.

You can then arrange to restore the backup files and folders and sensitive personal data which we have done wisely to make backups before.
